Final Music Video

OUR FINAL VIDEOOOOO :)

  1. The quality of lip syncing was very good but could be a tiny bit more precise in some places. There was a really good variety of shots especially the high angle shot looking down on the couple. The over the shoulder shot of Jess looking in the mirror was really effective. The black and white clips gives a sense of emotion. The locations they used were suitable for the genre. WELL DONE :D

  2. Feedback from U1-56:

The quality of lip syncing was exceptional in Steve's words.

    When looking at Goodwin's points,
The genre characteristics shown here are the use of black and white and the rain goes with the general mood of the song as does the location with the mirror.
Music and Visuals, the use of slow motion and slow paced camerawork and editing go well with the genre.
Intertextuality: If you look at the lostprophets song 4a.m forever, the lead singer sings this emotive song whilst sitting in the rain, just like this one.
You also get a sense of voyeurism from the scenes when you see Jess standing in the mirror. these scenes are very emotive.

The use of everyday clothes work as the colours are dulled down by the use of Black and White.

There is a lack of shot variety athough the shots used were of a high quality, such as the high angle shot.

Overall this is a very good video and well done.

  3. The quality of lip syncing is very good. The performance is done in a way that creates the right emotion for the song and the technicality of the video is very well executed.
There are a variety of shots used and used extremely well.
There is little intertextual reference and some reference to voyeurism.
The Mise en Scene in this video works very well in terms of the colours which are all black and white. This creates a sad mood and atmosphere appropriate to this video.

  4. The quality of lipsyncing was very good and precise.
The lyrics and visuals are amplified, as Jess is clearly sad but she is not doing exactly what the lyrics say. We have a sense of voyeurism when Jess sings straight to the camera and they're cuddling. It's selling the artist as we see Jess throughout the whole video singing to the camera. The camerawork is steady and there is a variety of shots, like when the camera is straight ahead of Jess and Tom. The video follows the traditional scenes of a sad song like this such as being in the rain and looking in the mirror.
    Very good, well done! :)
    JESS IS VERY CUTE
